E a fórmula do Valve Time:

Gentlemen, I present to you my explanation of the phenomenon known as “Valve Time”

A common equation used to determine gravitational time dilation is derived from the Schwarzschild metric, which describes spacetime in the vicinity of a non-rotating massive spherically-symmetric object. The equation is:

T0 = Tf * sqrt[1 - 2GM/(rc^2)]

Where:
-T0 is time as measured by the massive gravitational body
-Tf is time as measured by an observer greatly outside the effects of the gravitational body
-G is the gravitational constant
-M is the mass of the body
-r is the distance of the observer
-c is the speed of light

Solving for M we obtain:

M = [(rc^2)/(2G)] * [1-(T0/Tf)^2]

Assuming the massive gravitational body in our equation refers to Gabe Newell, we can plug in known values to estimate his mass. Here, T0/Tf is the ratio of Valve Time, to “Normal Time” as experienced by us.

Taking a look at this list:

We can see that in general it appears that one Valve Hour = 5 Real hours, one Valve Week = 5 Real weeks, etc. In general, T0/Tf = 1/5.

So:
-r = 2 500 000m (we’ll use the estimate that everyone playing a valve game is on the order of 2500km away from Gabe Newell and Valve’s headquarters)
-c = 300 000 000m/s
-G = 6.67 x 10^-11 m^3/kg*s^2
T0/Tf = 1/5

Solving yields:
M = 1.61 x 10^33 kg”
Therefore, assuming Gabe Newell is a massive spherical body with the mass we have calculated (roughly 800 times the mass of the sun), then it follows that time dilation will occur in the valve headquarters such that, what appears to be days or months to us, will actually be roughly 1/5 the value in the frame of reference of valve employees.

If you review my source for the ratio of Valve Time to normal time you will see that 1/5 is not the exact value for every time measurement. I attribute this discrepancy to bowel movements on the order of the mass of Jupiter, potentially perturbing the average ratio of Valve Time to normal time.
